To be eligible to play college sport at the NCAA level, you have to keep inline with the rules and regulations. The NCAA publishes a year’s manual, which highlights 1000’s of operating and administrative Bylaws. These are very complex and can be easily misinterpreted.
A recent rule change to tennis, requires first enrollment within 6 months of high school graduation. So, if you graduate in December 2011, you have to start no later than August 2012. You get one extra semester (to decide or clean up academic shortfalls). If you delay longer, you lose a year of eligibility and have to sit a year in residency.
What do you think about this new change? Will it affect you in anyway?
