Harvard University is a private institution located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Founded in 1636, Harvard has a long and distinguished tradition for excellence in a multiple of fields. With an undergraduate enrollment of over 6,000 students, tuition fees amounting to $39,849 each year and a common regard as being the number one university in the USA, being part of Harvard is a very prestigious and exclusive group that gives its graduates an incredible opportunity to excel on their career path.
The student-faculty ratio at Harvard is 7:1, with 80% of its classes having under 20 students and a 97% student rentention rate. Over 23,000 students applied to go to Harvard in the Fall, most of which having a near 4.0 GPA and a range of 2000-2400 on the SAT. The most popular major subjects are economics, political science and government, history and sociology and all are world renowned departments with the best faculty members there to guide and teach you to be innovative and surmount all existing theories in their field.
Harvard compete with in the Ivy League conference, alongside such universities as Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Cornell, Brown, Dartmouth and Pennsylvania. It is a very competitive conference in the NCAA Division 1, which has a strong reputation for producing top ranked teams that compete against the very best. Typically the Crimsons have fierce rivalries against other Ivy League instuitions and games are full of passion, pride and bragging rights for the winner!

There is 50:50 gender distribution at Harvard, with 74% being out of state students and 10% being international students. In fact there are 90 different countries represented with in the undergraduate enrollment in 2011.
Student life at Harvard consists of working hard academically, socialising and participating in the various different student clubs and organisations around campus and representing the university in every Crimson game.
