Playing / Coaching History Sheridan is currently an Academy Coordinator for Tennis Northern in New Zealand. Tennis Northern is a Regional Association in New Zealand, which has many promising performance juniors, including a Junior Davis Cup player and many touring junior ITF players. Before immigrating to New Zealand Sheridan worked as the West Sussex Performance Coordinator at The West Worthing Club in the UK, coaching numerous top regional and national players. He has over 10 years of coaching experience, which also includes coaching at two High Performance Clubs in the UK and holds the LTA CCAP (Level 4) coaching qualification. Sheridan studied at Weber State University (NCAA Div 1) in Utah in 2000 on a full scholarship for a year before deciding to continue with his studies back in the UK at Bournemouth University. Whilst there he captained the Mens tennis team for three years, culminating in a South West Divisional title, a top eight finish and three 'University sports team of the year' awards. He also coached the Universities Mens second team and Ladies first team to a promotional season and highest ever finsh respectively. He graduated in 2005 with a 2:1 in Bsc(Hons) Sports Development and Coaching Sciences. Before University Sheridan competed in Futures and British Tour events and was a regular Regional representative |
